Ingredients
Onions medium size 6 nos.
Urad dhal 1 tbs
Red Chillies 3 to 4
Tamarind a small ball size
Mustard 1 tsp
Curry leaves a few
Oil 2 tbs
Salt to taste
Method:
Wash the onins and cut them into cubes
Head a kadhai add 1 tbs of oil, urad dhal, red chillies, tamarind and saute for few minutes then add the cut onions. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and required amount of salt saute this well till the onions are cooked well.
Cool the above and grind into a paste
Garnish it with mustard and curry leaves
Serve it with Idli/dosa/chapathi or use it as a spread on your toast
