Ingredients
White channa 250 gms Onions 4 to 5 medium size Tomatoes o 3 Green chillies 2 Ginger and garlic paste 1 tsp optionsl Channa Masala powder 2 tsp Garam Masala 1 tsp Turmeric powder 1 tsp Salt as taste Oil 3 tbs Coriander and fresh cream for garnishing
Method
Soak the channa for 5 hours in hot water. Pressure cook this with a pinch of salt till it's well done. In a hot kadhai add oil and ginger garlic paste saute this. Then add green chillies, onions and tomatoes and cook till it's soft and mushy. Cool and grind tgis into a fine paste. In the same kadhai add oil, add the above paste. Add turmeric powder, channa masala, garam masala and salt. Cook for a few minutes then add the boiled channa mix well, if required add a little water close it with a lid and cook it till the flavours of the masala paste enters the channa. Garnish with coriander and fresh cream and serve with hot chapathis
